Transit Month Ride Contest Prizes

All prizes are for the entire month unless otherwise noted.

You cannot win more than two prize categories per household.

All prizes must be claimed at the Rider First Award Ceremony on October 13th at 375 Beale Street in San Francisco, unless otherwise noted.

We love our transit operators, but Ride Contest prizes are available only to transit riders, not transit operators who log the routes they drive professionally. Do you know a transit operator who goes above and beyond? Nominate them for a Rider First Award here before September 24th.

Grand Prize

For the transit rider who logs the most valid trips this September:

 

Tickets for you and a guest to join a behind-the-scenes tour of TJPA’s Salesforce Transit Center, including the two-level trainbox already built under the Center, which will be outfitted with rail service when Caltrain and ultimately, California High-Speed Rail’s statewide system comes to the Center.  

AND

One Giants baseball autographed by Logan Webb (Estimated value – $150)

Most trips on BART

First place: An HO scale BART A Car made by Rapido Trains. This museum-quality model will come inside a custom-made display case, allowing you to proudly show off your best-in-the-bay performance this transit month. (Delivery is estimated summer 2024) Retail is $150.

Second place: Printed poster-sized BART map & BART anime theme swag bag

Third place: BARTable swag bag with various promotional items

Most trips to or from the Salesforce Transit Center

The top 18 riders with the most logged Ride Contest trips that start or end at the Salesforce Transit Center will be invited to a behind-the-scenes tour of TJPA’s Salesforce Transit Center, including the two-level trainbox already built under the Center, which will be outfitted with rail service when Caltrain and ultimately, California High-Speed Rail’s statewide system comes to the Center. 

Most trips on San Francisco Bay Ferry

First place: Ridealong in the ferry wheelhouse with one guest

Second place: SF Bay Ferry sticker pack with ferry ticket

Raffle prize for riders who earn the “Sacramento” badge (80+ miles on transit)

All riders who earn the “Sacramento” badge by logging 80 miles of transit rides (approx. distance between SF & Sacramento) will be entered into a raffle to win one of six Golden State Warriors swag bags

Most trips on SFMTA (Muni)

First place: Metro tote bag with Muni socks, lip balm, t-shirt, stickers, foam bus and pencil

Most trips on AC Transit

First place: One tour of AC Transit’s Zero Emissions Facility and one swag bag

Second place: One tote bag loaded with various swag items

Most trips on Amtrak San Joaquins

First place: Swag bag with a Amtrak San Joaquins blanket, frisbee, water bottle, foldable train, and pen

Most trips on Capitol Corridor

First place: 4 Capitol Corridor tickets

(Restrictions apply; Instructions on redeeming the tickets will be e-mailed to the winner in early October)

Raffle prize for County Connection riders

50 County Connection BBQ aprons will be awarded to randomly selected County Connection riders. Each logged trip = one entry. Limit one prize per person/household. 

Most trips on Golden Gate Transit

First place: 10 ferry tickets & 10 bus tickets

Second place: 5 ferry tickets & 5 bus tickets

Most trips on Marin Transit

First place: Marin Transit tote with 31-day pass and insulated mug

Second through Fifth place: Marin Transit insulated mug

Most trips on Commute.org Shuttles

First through fifth place: Commute.org prize package including: a portable charger shaped as a Commute.org shuttle, a Commute.org T-shirt, hand sanitizer, a reusable chico bag, a shuttle pin and a STAR sticker

Most trips on Petaluma Transit

First place: One month bus pass & tote bag with promotional items from Petaluma Transit

(Prize can be picked up at Petaluma Transit’s headquarters in Petaluma)

Most trips on CalTrain

First place: Electric Train mini model & tote bag

Second place: Choice of Electric Train skateboard deck (no wheels) & tote bag; OR 18×24″ poster of electric trains & tote bag

Third place: Remaining 2nd place prize option

Fourth & fifth places: Tote bag

Most trips on SamTrans

First place: Vintage bus skate deck (no wheels)

Most trips on FAST

First place: FAST swag tote with thermos, hat, keychain, and Visit Fairfield guidebook, maps and olive oil

Most trips on Santa Rosa CityBus
