Member Benefits

Advocacy training. Learn how to speak up for the public transit you need and to engage other San Franciscans in the movement.

What does it mean to be a…

Community Member

For students, seniors, and low-income community members to be engaged in public transit policy.

Rider

Your membership helps us track fare hikes, service cuts, and MTA board votes and gives you a direct line to weigh in before decisions get made. At this level, you’re covering the cost of one rider survey response or a chunk of the outreach that gets new riders organized.

Advocate

This is roughly what it costs us to prep one public comment or send one organizer to a transit agency board meeting on your behalf. Advocates get invited to briefings before major votes and help us show up at hearings with real rider numbers behind us.

Champion

Champions are the backbone of our base-building work; this level covers things like printing and canvassing materials for a service-change campaign, a few hours of staff time spent turning rider complaints into an actual policy ask, and funding member-led projects. Champions get recognized in our annual report and get first invites to member events.
