Community Meeting: 4th Street Bridge Transit Lanes

SFMTA installed temporary emergency transit lanes on the 4th Street bridge in February this year to assist the T Third. Results showed that the project improved travel times on the T Third, without slowing down traffic.

Geary Transit Lanes

The SFMTA Board of Directors will vote on whether to make transit-only lanes on Geary Boulevard permanent. These temporary lanes were put in as a response to the pandemic, to protect people making essential trips on Muni from being stuck in traffic. We need these transit-only lanes to be permanent, to continue to make Muni service faster and more reliable for all riders!
