Each year, tens of thousands of people across Alameda County drive drunk, risking their lives and posing a major risk to everyone in the community. Thousands of people each year are arrested for drunk driving, others are hit with massive fines, and ride share apps are everywhere– yet drunk driving is still prevalent in our community. But elected officials have another tool they can use to stop drunk driving: better transit service.
Join Traffic Violence Rapid Response and Mothers Against Drunk Driving for a special Bay Area Transit Month happy hour at one of the most transit accessible bars in Oakland– Temescal Brewing. Special guests include Oakland Councilmember Dan Kalb, AC Transit Director Jean Walsh, and Registered Nurse Jennifer Esteen.
