As a part of our site, specific event, serious, Mannys is hosting a conversation with the president of the BART board Janice Li and the general manager Bob Powers to discuss the state of public transportation across the bay area and in particular the BART system.
Public transportation is facing a once in a century crisis, with a combination of slow recovery from the pandemic, mixed with increasing structural deficits, stocking fears of a transportation doom loop.
Hear directly from one of the most important Bay Area public transportation agencies but let’s do it on the system itself!
We will be meeting at the 16th St. BART station and we’ll be taking over one entire BART car for the conversation down to SFO and back.
**Don’t be late! Because we are going on a moving train we can’t wait for anyone who is running late*
While this event is free, you will need to pay for the BART ride. You will need $6.40 on your Clipper card.
We will meet near the agent booth, go through the BART fare gates then we will board the first car of an SFO bound train.
