MTC Select Committee: Constructing the Path Forward

Some Select Committee members see a sales tax as the path of least resistance, so we need to show up and show them that while we might not be well-funded, we are organized and opposed to regressive taxes that will harm working families!

At this meeting, the Select Committee will be weighing in on various regional measure scenarios to study. Please join your fellow VPT members at the meeting to advocate for a scenario that is progressively funded and covers all nine Bay Area Counties. We know that being timid will only be harmful — that what Bay Area voters actually want is a measure that will transform public transit into a system that actually works! Now we just need to convince the Select Committee and we are going to need all hands on deck to do that.
