Do you support transit-first measures such as transit-only ‘red’ lanes, BRT and transit signal priority in your district?

Increasingly, San Francisco has been turning to transit-only lanes as an efficient way to speed up and improve reliability of transit across the city for tens of thousands of transit riders. These candidates support the expansion of transit-only lanes.

Do you support the vision of a transit system that can get riders across the city in 30 minutes?

A network of rapid transit lines could connect every neighborhood with frequent, rapid Muni service could make it possible to travel across San Francisco in 30 minutes or less.

Do you support new, dedicated funding for transit?

Decades of underinvestment have left Muni vulnerable to breakdowns. Too many neighborhoods and riders are left far behind because of insufficient operating funds. Long-term, fair, and diverse sources of funding would prevent service cuts and help expand Muni operations, creating news jobs and more reliable transit for all.

Do you support decongestion pricing?

Congestion pricing would reduce the number of cars driving downtown, making it one of the most effective tools we can use to reduce congestion. It would also fund increased Muni service to make sure people who opt-out of driving have great transit alternatives.

Do you support Proposition 15?

Proposition 15 would tax commercial and industrial properties based on their market value, generating ~$45M annually for transit in San Francisco because San Francisco County also funds Muni.

Proposition 15 will close proprietary tax loopholes that benefit wealthy corporations, cuts small business taxes and reclaims billions of dollars to invest in schools and local communities.

Do you support Measure RR, dedicated funding for Caltrain?

Measure RR is a ⅛ cent sales tax to fund Caltrain operations, including more frequent trains, and more equitable fares and service.

Measure RR will save Caltrain from a shutdown and provide faster and more frequent trains; better connections to local transit; thousands of good-paying jobs; and cleaner, quieter trains to reduce noise and air pollution.
