This is an innovative partnership with Caltrans to provide transit priority on our city streets that also happen to be state highways. The current proposal allows private vehicles with two or more occupants to use these lanes\, which will likely help but doesn’t go far enough. Given that will allow ride hails (which cause much of our traffic) to use them\, we are asking for a minimum of 3 occupants in private vehicles.\nTemporary Emergency Transit Lanes on the 1 California. Based on community outreach\, these lanes have been adjusted in terms of what hours they’re enforced. We think this is an important start but want to see a fuller project as downtown traffic returns.\n\nWe need your support for these transit priority projects! \nSign up below so we can coordinate with full instructions\, talking points\, and timing.
