SUMMARY:Signature Gathering at Ferry Building Farmers Market in San Francisco
DESCRIPTION:Join San Francisco Transit Riders and the Muni Now Muni Forever coalition to gather signatures for both Connect Bay Area and Stronger Muni for All\, funding public transit in San Francisco and throughout the five counties of the inner Bay Area! \n​\nWe will meet at noon at the Gandhi statue behind the Ferry Building for a quick training and to hand out petition supplies. After that\, we’ll head out to start collecting signatures in the area. \nTo see the most friendly faces and to join the group training session\, plan to meet at the event start time. But if you’ve already attended a training (or if you complete online training in advance by reading our training guide then completing this form)\, you can stop by anytime before the end of the event to drop off completed petitions and/or pick up new ones. (We’ll be able to do packet exchanges quicker after the first half-hour of the event.) Your RSVP is helpful either way. \nNo experience necessary. You just need to be 18 years old to gather signatures.  If you’re under 18\, let us know at info@muniforever.org as there are many other ways to be involved and help! \n*** \n​Muni Now Muni Forever is a grassroots coalition co-led by San Francisco Transit Riders and Senior and Disability Action\, which are 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations. \n​*** \nSan Francisco needs to pass both the Stronger Muni for All (San Francisco parcel tax) and Connect Bay Area (five-county sales tax) transit measures in November to prevent service cuts\, and you can gather signatures for both at the same time!
