DESCRIPTION:San Francisco– It’s time to get moving at DFT! The September 5th edition of Downtown San Francisco’s already-beloved street party will feature a 60+ person orchestra\, ballet\, breakdance\, whirling dervishes\, a second line brass band\, live jazz on an open air F-Train\, and DJs (including San Francisco’s own\, the legendary Spencer Brown) that will keep attendees of all ages dancing in the streets. \nA new\, expanded outdoor drinking area at DFT means drinks are on the move\, too! Take your beer or cocktails purchased at outdoor bars (at 2nd and Stevenson Street  and  2nd and Natoma Street) roaming throughout the DFT footprint. \nPlus\, a transformed F-Train will get attendees moving between DFT’s street party on 2nd Street and UNSTAGED. Live on Mid-Market—a new\,  free\, interactive\, live performance experience on Market Street between 5th and 6th Street produced by Market Street Arts featuring a vertical dance performance by Bandaloop and dozens of other activations. Celebrate Transit Month in style and travel between UNSTAGED. and DFT on the  F-Train as it becomes a mobile jazz venue\, the Hotsy Totsy Club\, created by Building 180 in collaboration with Mystic Midway. (UNSTAGED. Live on Mid-Market is an official partner event of DFT). \nThe September 5  edition of DFT will feature a DJ set by Special Guest Performer Spencer Brown\,  presented by The Midway\,  from 7-9pm on Howard and 2nd Street. \nDFT is FREE with RSVP. Attendees can register for September 5th DFT for a chance to win a FREE pair of two-day GA passes to Fresh Start\, The Midway’s New Year Block Party! \nThe creative partners transforming 2nd Street every month include a lineup of San Francisco’s most renowned and prolific music and culture producers: The Midway\, Another Planet Entertainment\, Noise Pop\, KALW \, Grace Towers\, A  LITTLE x\, and Yerba Buena Gardens Festival.
