DESCRIPTION:Come join fellow transit supporters in Santa Clara county for a drink and discussion of how transit can reduce drunk driving\, save lives\, and allow people to get out into their communities to more safely enjoy themselves.  \nEach year\, tens of thousands of people across Santa Clara County drive drunk\, risking their lives and posing a major risk to everyone in the community. Nearly 100\,000 Californians are arrested each year for drunk driving\, others are hit with massive fines. Drunk driving persists\, but elected officials have another tool they can use to stop drunk driving: better transit service. \nCome join fellow transit supporters to raise a glass together at one of the most transit-accessible places in San Jose\, San Pedro Square.

DESCRIPTION:We invite transit riders to beat the summer heat with our Rider Recharge Station! Community leaders from NBOP’s Climate Justice Task Force will be tabling at the Santa Rosa Transit Mall to provide riders with drinks\, snacks\, and mini popsicles provided by local gourmet ice cream shop Frozen Art. In addition to the treats\, folks will have an opportunity to connect with leaders from the CJTF to discuss current issues impacting transit riders\, and provide feedback about what improvements/changes they hope to see within our local transit system.
