DESCRIPTION:Join us for a conversation with MTC Commissioner Nick Josefowitz and SFCTA Executive Director Tilly Chang on the future of regional transit in the Bay Area. \nThe Metropolitan Transportation Commission is responsible for planning\, financing and coordinating transportation for 27 different transit agencies around the Bay Area\, including Muni and BART here in San Francisco. Come learn from two experts on how regional transit decisions are made and how San Franciscans can make sure their voices are heard. \nAbout the panelists: \nTilly Chang serves as Executive Director of the San Francisco County Transportation Authority. The Transportation Authority’s mission is to make travel safer\, healthier\, and easier for all. Ms. Chang was named 2019 Woman of the Year by the San Francisco chapter of WTS and in 2015 the San Francisco Business Times named her one of the Bay Area’s Most Influential Women.   \nNick Josefowitz is currently the Chief Policy Officer at SPUR. Nick manages SPUR’s policy team\, responsible for developing and advancing powerful policy ideas across sustainability\, resilience\, housing and transportation in San Francisco\, Oakland\, San Jose and across the Bay Area.
