About the 2016 Challenge

September 12-17

The San Francisco Transit Riders Muni Challenge is a week-long event designed to raise awareness of the San Francisco Transit Riders efforts to:

  • Help build a positive Muni/transit culture so that more people will utilize Muni.
  • Raise awareness about the important role a strong public transit system plays in a 21st century.
  • Build positive relationships with neighborhood groups, merchant groups and the general public so that we may have productive dialogue about how to improve transit in SF.

During the week of September 12-17 we'll be sending you email reminders to share your experiences on social media.

Now that elected officials are #OnBoardSF and riding Muni, get the attention of City Hall with your ideas!

How would you improve Muni?

We want to partner with organizations across the Bay Area to support our city officials in riding public transportation! If your organization or corporation would like to act as a partner or sponsor, or for more information, please contact us at info@sftru.org.

Join our Transit Action Committee

Do you have an idea to make Muni better? Want to get involved with a campaign? Attend the monthly Transit Action Committee meeting! At these informal meetings, we plan our campaigns and forums and discuss ideas for improving Muni. Everyone is welcome, even if you're not a member.
